Data & estimation method
Current service comes from county-connection.zip, valid August 23, 2026–January 9, 2027. Representative dates: October 9 (Friday), 10 (Saturday), and 11 (Sunday), with calendar exceptions applied. School and express trips are included. Daily trip passages are summed across both directions and routes sharing identical GTFS segments; nearby, nonidentical alignments remain separate.
Estimated trips use the plan’s stated current headway ÷ proposed headway. Arithmetic midpoint assumptions: 30–60 minutes = 45; 15–30 minutes = 22.5. Existing alignments and service spans are retained. Fractional trips are estimates, not a timetable. Solid widths stay proportional to trips at every zoom and use the same scale in both maps. Dashed traces have fixed width to locate removed service; they represent zero remaining trips. Trip reductions do not measure service hours or budget savings.
The route selector filters both maps and the totals. Click details show daily passages at that segment and whole-route daily trip totals. This map works offline and uses GTFS geometry and city labels without a street basemap.
